Glenmora-Funeral services for Carl M. Holloway, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Glenmora Church of Christ. Rev. Justin Simmons and Rev. Mike Evans will officiate. Burial will follow at Butters Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Glenmora Church of Christ on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 5-10 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Carl was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was a loving husband to his wife, Lydia, for forty-five years. Carl enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, gardening and taking care of his donkeys. More than anything, Carl enjoyed having get togethers and spending time with his family. He worked hard to help provide for his family. Carl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Carl's memory include his wife, Lydia Johnson Holloway; two sons, Wayne Sutton (Sara) and Louis Sutton; daughter, Deborah Holloway Austin (Steve); two brothers, Charlie Holloway (Brenda) and Claude Holloway (Virgie); three sisters, Virginia Martin (Albert), Vivian Kurtz (Gary) and Lillian Langston (John); and seven grandchildren, Lauren Bailey, Branden, Jonathan, Kalena, Klaire, Aaron and Cameron Sutton.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Ever Barker Holloway; the mother of his two children, Linda Holloway; son, Carlton B. Holloway; daughter, Carla C. Holloway; and brother, Clyde C. Holloway.
