Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Carl James Fontenot Sr., 74, will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 1:00PM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Carlos Russo will officiate. Burial will follow in McGee Cemetery in Kinder.
Visitation will be held Thursday at 10:30AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00AM.
Mr. Fontenot was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard, but resided in Opelousas. He was a retired Seafood dealer from St. Bernard. Mr. Fontenot passed away Monday, January 5, 2009 in his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Clara T. Fontenot; son, Carl James Fontenot Jr. & wife Pamela of St. Bernard; daughter, Carla Beth Guerra & husband Denny L. Guerra Sr. of Opelousas; brother, Lee Earl Fontenot of Galveston; sister, Kathleen Fontenot of Kinder; grandson, Austin Joseph Guerra; step grandson, Rusty Graybill.
Preceded in death by his parents, Olide & Carrie Fontenot; grandson, James Frank Bordelon; three brothers, Paul Fontenot, Harry Lee Fontenot, & Olide Joseph Fontenot Jr.
