Kinder-Funeral service for Carl Otis Bebee, Sr., age 91, will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 3pm in Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel of Kinder. Rev. Billy Turner will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Lake Memorial Cemetery in Lake Charles under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder beginning Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 2-10pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 8am until time of service.
Carl was born on January 31, 1922 in Iowa, Louisiana to Claude and Gretchen Bebee. He served as a Master Sergeant in the Army Air Force as an airplane mechanic from 1942-1945 in Italy. He is a veteran of World War II, having received many awards including the Distinguished Unit Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal. He also worked hard over the years as a rice, bean and cattle farmer. He was a loving husband and wonderful father.
Survivors include his three sons-Randy Bebee and girlfriend, Angie, Jimmy Bebee and wife, Pat, and Glenn Bebee and wife, Lawana; two daughters-Darlene Manuel and husband, Bruce and Rebecca Deshotel and husband, Scott; 14 grandchildren-Robert, Tina, Fred, Mark, Sharon, Marvin, Toby, Chad, Scott, Michael, Zachary, Kristie, Josh and Hunter; 38 great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
Carl is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; his parents; two brothers-Harvey and Warren Bebee; and his son, Carl Bebee, Jr.
Pallbearers for the service will be Toby Bebee, Chad Bebee, Scott Manuel, Michael Manuel, Zachary Manuel, Joshua Deshotel, Hunter Bebee, Fred Bebee, Cody Mears and Brian Mears.
