Kinder-A Memorial Service honoring Candy Ray Lynn Wiltz Cotton (Mary Linda Vickers), 71, will be held at 11 o’clock a.m. on Saturday morning, August 8, 2026, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Nay Vickers will officiate.

Candy’s family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Saturday morning, August 8, 2026, from 8 o’clock a.m. until time of service. All of Candy’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

Born to the union of Mason and Lois Vickers as Mary Linda Vickers, Candy lived in Calcasieu Parish most of her life. Candy loved and helped raise numerous friends’ children and she lovingly referred to them as her sons, daughters, and grandchildren. Candy passed away on Wednesday morning, July 29,2026 with her family by her side at Harbor Hospice of Lake Charles. Candy will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew her.

Family members left to cherish her memory are Allie Bond, Dorothy Gourdon and husband, James, Deleta McCluskey and husband, Douglas and Charlene Hudgens and husband, Bruce; her grandsons, Eric Plummer, and Brently and Asher Wiltz; as well as extended family and friends.

Candy was preceded in death by her parents, Mason and Lois Vickers; her son, Daniel Wiltz; a nephew, Joseph Lofton; and her brother-in-law, Robert Bond.
