Obituary

Oakdale-Homegoing Services for Callie Willis Reed, 75, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Gospel Lighthouse Church. Rev. James Vandergriff will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Gospel Lighthouse Church on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 12-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service. *Please, note that the gathering capacity will be limited due to compliance with state requirements.*

Callie was born February 27, 1945 to the union of Jessie Willis and Rosie McDaniel Willis in Oakdale, Louisiana. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved attending church and worshipping with her friends and family, she also loved staying at home with her son, Casey. Her beloved pastor and his wife of twenty-five years, Brother and Sister James Vandergriff, always had a special place in her heart. Callie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Callie's memory include her three sons, Casey Reed, Greg LaBorde (Tanya) and Neal LaBorde (Lynette); one daughter, Becki Giles (Evan); one daughter-in-law, Ann LaBorde; one brother, Jessie L. Willis, Jr.; twenty one grandchildren; and forty-two great grandchildren.

Callie is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie L. Willis and Rosie McDaniel Willis; husband, Shallon Reed; two sons, Ray and Bernard LaBorde; and two sisters, Roseline Willis and Inez Paul.
