Callie was a loving and devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was a hard worker and worked diligently on her family farm to provide for her family and children. Callie dearly loved and adored family, friends, and her farm and she cherished every lasting memory she made with them. She had a “green thumb” and grew many varieties of vegetables alongside her husband Bill. Corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, okra, peas, peppers, watermelons, lemons, and sunflowers were just a few of the many vegetables they grew. Callie had a profound love for animals, especially her cats and dogs. She was a very kind and caring person and was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need within her community. Callie will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Callie’s memory include six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Callie is preceded in death by her parents, Lonis and Mildred Jordan; her husband, William “Bill” Thomas Kennedy; two daughters, Donna Marie Kennedy, and Mildred Diane Kennedy Cooper, and two brothers, James Carl and Louis Curtis Jordan.
Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared with Callie’s family at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com or on Facebook-Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
