Caleb Paul Delafosse was born in Lafayette, La. March 17, 1981. He was raised by his wonderful parents Robert and Betty Delafosse in Lafayette until he met his soul mate, his loving wife of 14 years, Ashley Deason Delafosse of Basile, where he then resided for 16 years before moving to Youngsville, La. Caleb passed away at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans, La. after a long fight of 25 days.

Caleb had a great love for his family, he always wanted to spend time with them and make great memories. Caleb had a great love for God that was unexplainable and was sharing his love of God with others, trying to get them closer to God.

Caleb had a great love for the outdoors, especially fishing and being in his boat, where he and Ashley spent most of their weekends. He enjoyed life to the fullest by singing, dancing, acting in theater, making people laugh, DJ'ing, being outdoors, cooking, and mostly spending time with his five children, who he loved more than life itself. He loved watching his son Alijah play sports.

Caleb had a love for everyone that he ever met, to know him was to love him. He will forever be unconditionally loved and missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Those left to cherish Caleb's memory include his parents, Robert and Betty Delafosse; biological mother, Bernedette Wiltz; wife, Ashley Deason Delafosse; grandmother, Lorice Berry; four sons, Chase, Tryston, and Aiden Delafosse, and Alijah Hardy; daughter, Alayshia Deason; four brothers, Brandon Delafosse, Lamont Wiltz, Robert Delafosse Jr., and Shaun Bergeron; three sisters, Jolee Delafosse Woods, Roxanne Bergeron, and Wendy Leonard; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Caleb is preceded in death by his biological father, Paul Irving Bergeron; grandfather, Wilbert Berry; two uncles, Joseph Berry and Vernell Delafosse; in-laws, William and Audrey Deason; and brother, Shane Bergeron
