Oberlin-Funeral Services for Brian Keith Manuel, 51, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Oberlin Baptist Church. Rev. Bob Johnston will officiate. Burial will follow at the Manuel residence under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Oberlin Baptist Church from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service. ***Please note, due to state mandates, a face covering is required inside and social distancing must be maintained throughout your visit***.

Brian Keith Manuel was born on September 16, 1968 to Mattues Joseph Manuel and Alice Ann Carrier Manuel of Oberlin, LA. He went home peacefully on August 17, 2020 to meet his Savior. Brian is the proud father of Heidi Rayne (18) and Asher Keith (8) and the loving husband to Sandy Evans Manuel of twenty-four years. He loved the outdoors and he made sure his children did too. He spent much time working around his home, but also enjoyed traveling and exploring new places with his family. Brian worked for the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana as a heavy equipment operator at the maintenance department for eighteen years. He loved his job and took great pride in it. He was also a deacon at Hebron Baptist Church for many years. Brian would like to be remembered for his faith. He wanted to make sure everyone he met had the same benefits of a loving relationship with Jesus. Brian will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Brian's memory include his father, Mattues Manuel of Oberlin; wife, Sandy Manuel of Oberlin; son, Asher Keith Manuel; daughter, Heidi Rayne Manuel; two brothers, Mark Manuel (Melondy) of Oberlin and Steve P. Manuel and wife, Rachel, of Oberlin; one sister, Jenifer Manuel Aune and husband, Gif, of Broomfield, CO.

Brian is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Ann Carrier Manuel.
