Elton-A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Brennus Kurt Romero, 66, will be held at 11 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Father Keenan Brown will officiate. Brennus will be laid to rest in St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery in Basile immediately following his services.
Brennus' family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin Funeral home of Elton on Tuesday evening, February 4, 2025, from 4 to 9 o'clock p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7 o'clock p.m. Brennus' visitation will resume Wednesday morning, February 5, 2025, from 9 o'clock a.m. until time of service at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. All of Brennus' arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Brennus was a proud father, husband and nurse for over 30 years. He loved his family and friends with whom he enjoyed frequent visits. He was a lover of Cajun food and cooking which he excelled in. He loved music, especially Classic Rock of his youth. He loved History to which he was a witness to many interesting events. Brennus loved football, especially his New Orleans Saints and LSU and got to witness their proudest moments. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, which he was very skilled at. Brennus enjoyed the Cinema and watching movies throughout many eras and was a hard-working family man.
Those left to cherish Brennus' memory include his wife, Brenda Louise Fulton Romero; son, Brennus William Lee Romero and Paige; sisters, Renetta Kibodeaux and husband Jimmy, Donna LaFleur and husband Mike; three nieces, Kim Smith, Amber Menard, and Brenda Bergeron; two nephews, Jacob Kibodeaux and Kyle LaFleur; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Brennus is preceded in death by his parents, Shelton Lee Romero and Isabelle Romero.
