Kinder- A Mass of Christian Burial for Brenda "Gail" Saucier, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Will Saucier and Rev. Roland Vaughn will officiate. Burial will follow at Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral of Kinder on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. The Vigil will be at 6 p.m. followed by the Holy Rosary. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Gail was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, aunt and friend. She was a devoted wife to her husband, James "Larry", for sixty-two years. Gail was a faithful, lifelong member of the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she was a Lector, a Eucharistic Minister, a member of Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and was very active in the Cursillo movement. She enjoyed riding in the country with her husband, cooking, shopping and most of all spending time with her family. Gail was a very generous person; she loved everyone and would take care of anyone in their time of need. She worked hard to always have a happy home filled with love and laughter for her family. Gail will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James "Larry" Saucier of Kinder; one daughter, Myra Delacroix and husband, Alex, of Lake Charles; one son, Rev. Fr. Will Saucier of Chickasaw, AL.; two sisters, Burnadette Rice and husband, Lewis, of Kinder and Christine Rollins and husband, Robert, of Oakdale; three brothers, Robert Smith of Beaumont, TX, Buford Smith and wife, Juanita, of Kinder and Kirby Smith Jr. and wife, Rosemary, of Sulphur; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Kirby and Bernice Smith; and one sister, Rita Ellen Smith.
