Brandt was a loving father, pawpaw, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a very hard worker and worked as an oil field machinist for 40 plus years where he worked to provide for his family. He was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Brandt loved to attend his grandchildren's baseball games and swim meets. He loved cooking and Barbecuing for all types of occasions. He loved to sit on his porch, drink coffee, and visit. Brandt always looked forward to his annual hunting trip at Fort Polk around Thanksgiving, where he enjoyed making memories with his family and his best friends, Billy Quebodeaux and Roger LeJune. He was a very kind and caring person and would help anyone in need. Brandt will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish Brandt's memory include his two sons, Dustin Smith and wife Jada of Moss Bluff, LA, and Justin Smith and wife Aimee of Longville, LA; two brothers, Max Smith wife Sandra of Moss Bluff, LA, and Robert Smith of Reeves, LA; one sister, Richelle Smith of Westlake, LA; six grandchildren, Madalyn and Drew Smith, and Bryanna, Cole, Jace, and Walt Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
