Elton-A private memorial service for Brandon Ortego, 42, will be held at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Brandon was a fun person who loved to have a good time. He enjoyed spending time with his friends. Brandon loved hunting, especially for alligators, fishing, being outdoors, going to Mardi Gras, cooking and barbequing. He liked listening to music, especially country and French music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Brandon's memory include his mother, Katherine Taylor Ortego of Elton; one daughter, Kristie Katherine Ortego of Elton; and two sons, Austin Lee Ortego of Elton and Darin Tate Ortego of Basile.

Brandon is preceded in death by his father, Larry Lee Ortego; one sister, Kristie Ortego; one brother, Darin Ortego; and uncle, Ronnie Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in memory of Brandon.
