Kinder-Funeral services for Bonnie Willis, age 82, will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 2pm in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Bro. Jerry Hext will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oaks Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 4-9pm in Ardoin Funeral Home and will continue on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 8am until time of service.
Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Kinder and member of Hebron Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, sewing, and taking care of the family. She collected state spoons, serving trays, and postcards from near and far. She was a loving mom, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her sons, Rickie Willis and wife, Angie of Kinder and Robbie Willis and wife, Alaina of Oberlin; her daughters, Mary Cole and husband, Ardis and Renea Manuel and husband, Carl, all of Oberlin; two sisters, Oma Nell Manuel of Kinder and Barbara Sue Fontenot and husband, Nolton Ray of Moss Bluff; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Eliza and Ralph Carpenter, and her son, Michael Willis.
