Elton-Bobby James Bertrand passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at 60 years of age, surrounded by his loving family. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18 ^th , 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton. Deacon Michael Guillory will officiate. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Elton. All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral home.

The family will receive visitors at the Ardoin Funeral Home chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018, with a vigil and rosary at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue the next morning from 8:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service.

Bobby loved hunting, fishing, camping, and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed playing his accordion in his home for his loved ones. He was a dedicated farmhand for Tommy McClelland for 34 years. Bobby loved playing cards and giving everyone a hard time.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Donna Marie David Bertrand, of Elton; his two sons, Francis Comeaux Sr. and his wife, Heather, of Oberlin; and Rodney (RP) Comeaux Jr. and his wife, Sara, of Welsh; and one daughter, Anastasia (Stacy) Comeaux Hornsby and her husband, Daniel, of Woodlawn; one brother, Bert Bertrand of Basile; and three sisters, Sandra Lasage, Glenda Atkins, and Nancy Bertrand, all of Eunice.

His five grandchildren were his world, and these include Francis Comeaux (CJ) Jr., Joshua Hornsby, Hannah Comeaux, Hayden Hornsby, and Danielle Hornsby. He had no biological children, but he raised many children as his own. He has a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Estherword and Julia Lebleu Bertrand; two brothers, Hillard (Slim) Bertrand and Jimmy Bertrand; and one sister, Esther Bertrand Aguillard.
