Obituary

Elton -Funeral service for Bobbie Bridwell, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Elton First Baptist Church. Rev. John Nichols will officiate. Burial will follow at China Cemetery of Elton under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors beginning Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Ardoin/ Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday morning at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Bobbie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, granny, sister, aunt and friend. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Richard, for 68 years. She was a woman of strong faith and a dedicated, lifelong member of Elton First Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her bible, solving crossword puzzles, watch Fox news and old westerns. She loved spending time with her family and she absolutely adored her grandchildren. Bobbie was a very kind person who always put others before herself. She was very generous of her time and love. She enjoyed participating in any event held at her church. Bobbie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Bobbie's memory include her loving husband, Richard Bridwell, Sr.; her son, Richard Bridwell, Jr. of Lacassine; two daughters, Nancy Manuel and husband, Raymond of Lake Charles and Bridget Smith and husband, Lane of Pineville; one brother, Charles Trahan of Elton; one sister, Lois Faulk of Elton; seven grandchildren, Mandi Leviner (Sammy) of Moss Bluff, Rhoda Corkran (Jonathan) of Lacassine, Marci Soileau (Cody) of Lacassine, Fulton "Buddy" Bridwell of Elton, Sadie and Molly Smith of Pineville, and Brandon Manuel of Lake Charles; seven great grandchildren, Tyler Leviner (Allana) of Moss Bluff, Jolie Leviner of Moss Bluff, Ethan and Mia Corkran of Lacassine, Marli and Madix Guidry and Bentley Soileau, all of Lacassine; and one great-great grandchild, Navee Rae Leviner of Moss Bluff.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, Avis, Sr. and Lizzie Trahan; two sons, Robert Dean and David Ray Bridwell; one brother, Avis Trahan, Jr.; and one granddaughter, Shantel Manuel.
