Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Bob Guse, 78, will be held Friday. April 18, 2008 at 2:00PM in Indian Village Pentecostal Church. Rev. Terry Bushnell & Rev. A.A. Haymon will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be Thursday in Indian Village Pentecostal Church from 5pm-9pm and will continue Friday at 8AM until time of service.
Mr. Guse was retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War & Vietnam War. He was then employed by many local contractors as a carpenter. He was currently employed by Christus St. Patrick's Hospital engineering & maintenance department whom he dearly respected and loved. Mr. Guse was a resident of Kinder and a member of Indian Village Pentecostal Church. He passed away Wednesday in a Lake Charles Hospital.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty Guse of Kinder; son, Richard Guse & wife Shealane of Elmer; daughter, Claudia Fuselier & husband Darryl of Kinder; sister, Helen Saulsbury of Minnesota; brother, Bud Guse of Wyoming; five grandchildren, April & Spencer Fuselier of Kinder, Natalie Gray & huband Mark of Lake Jackson, TX, Stephanie Whatley of Elmer, Jessica Swanson & husband Kevin of Scandia, Kansas; eight great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his son, Robert and a granddaughter, Sandy Guse; parents, William & Mabel Guse and many brothers & sisters.
He nailed his last nail, he planed his last board. He put down the tape measure for the last time. He has gone home to the Master Carpenter.
