Pitkin- Funeral services for Billy Gay Anding, 78, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at Blue Branch Church. Rev. Hardy Estes and Rev. Jeff James will officiate. Burial will follow at Blue Branch Cemetery in Pitkin under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Blue Branch Church in Pitkin from 2-10 p.m. and will resume on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Billy was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren. He and his son went hunting together and liked to hog hunt. Billy was self-employed and spent most of his time working on appliances. He was an appliance technician for Whirlpool until he was unable to work. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include one son, David Lyn Anding and wife, Dottie, of Moss Bluff; one brother, Ray Anding; four grandchildren, Zachary David Anding, Trenton Koy Anding, Kyler Gage Anding, and Emalee Grace Anding; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Loree (Maricle) Anding; and his sister, Patty Anding Bowles.
