Funeral service for Bezora Barnes, 82, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Rev. Freddie J. Jack and Rev. Darrell Woods will officiate. Burial will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church of Elton on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Bezora Barnes was born March 22, 1939, as Bezora Williams, to the late Sanders and Cora Williams. Bezora moved to Houston in her 20's and started an in-home daycare center. Bea loved watching kids and keeping them in line. She also loved to cook, bake, sew, and doing upholstery. She later retired and returned home to Elton with her sister Rutha. Bea also loved family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

Bezora was preceded in death by her parents, Sanders and Cora Williams; her four brothers, Willie Williams, Freeman Williams, Richard Williams, Allen Williams; and two sisters, Edna Mae LaVergne and Cora Deville.

Those left to cherish her memory includes her three sisters, Evon Williams Francis, Rutha Williams Hymon, Avella Williams Ackless; her brother, Michael Williams, Sr; one God-Daughter, Deon Sam Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
