Kinder- Funeral service for Mrs. Betty O'quain Shanabarger, 51, will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Mike Paxton will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2pm-10pm and will continue Tuesday at 8am until time of service.
Mrs. Shanabarger was a resident of Kinder. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother to all. Mrs. Shanabarger passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Shanabarger of Kinder; two daughters, Lora Lee Duhon & husband Shawn of Sulphur, Jessica Shanabarger of Kinder; mother, Lora Bell "Sis" O'quain of Sulphur; six sisters, Mary Vincent, Carol Wright, Stella "Peanut" Trahan, Brenda Browning, Rose Mays, all of Sulphur, & Jenny Jones of Lake Charles; brother, James "Tiger" O'quain of Sulphur; five grandchildren, Garrett, Brylee, Emma, Gaige, & Brantley.
Mrs. Shanabarger is preceded in death by her father, Tiny O'quain and her brother, Larry O'quain.
