Kinder-Funeral services for Bertha M. Simons, age 75, will be held on Thursday,
January 20, 2011 at 10 am in Green Oak Bible Church. Rev. Jerry C. Long will
officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction
of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will begin in Green Oak Bible Church on Wednesday,
January 19, 2011 from 4-9 pm; and will continue on Thursday at 8 am until
time of service.
Bertha was a life long resident of Kinder. She was a member of Green
Oak Bible Church since 1945 and was very active with the Bible Study. She
also worked faithfully with the Sunday School Class and was a church clerk.
She was a retired Rural Mail Carrier for the United States Post Office with
over 20 years of service. She was also an active member of National Rural
Mail Carriers Association.
Survivors include her son; Alan Arthur Simons and wife Cindy of Reeves;
two daughters, Donna Mae Hall of Reeves and Connie Lea Heimbach and
husband , Mike of Bridge City, Tx.; and four grandchildren, Ross, Colin,
Austin, and Daya; and one stepson, Roger Simons, son of Arthur Simons
of China, Tx.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Pearl in memory
of Bertha Marie Simons.
