Elton-Funeral services for Bertha Miller Ortego, 96, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, in the First Baptist Church of Elton. Rev. Barrett Marcantel will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral of Elton.
Bertha was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was a woman of strong faith. She loved Billy Graham. She enjoyed doing embroidery and making quilt blocks. Bertha was faithful in caring for her parents until their passing. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Bertha's memory include her two daughters, Faye Ebare of Dry Creek and Macy Mae Langley of Hope, AR; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Bertha is preceded in death by her parents, Amar and Eva Miller; her husband, Norris Ortego; one son, Larry Lee Ortego; and one brother, Percy Miller.
