Kinder-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Bertha Burnell Ryder Buller Dunman, 77, at 11 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 3-9 p.m. A Vigil Service will be held at 6 p.m. followed by the Holy Rosary. Visitation will continue on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Burnell was a lifelong resident of Kinder. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved plants and being outdoors. She also enjoyed crocheting, cooking and dancing. Her favorite times were those spent with her family. She also loved her pet dog, Daisy. Burnell will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Burnell's memory include her sons, Randy Rider and wife, Brenda, of Conroe, TX, Cory Rider and wife, Christine, of Kinder, and Troy Rider and wife, Bridgett, of Oberlin; daughters, Catherine "Tina" Fulmer of Kinder, Sherry Smith of Oberlin, and Laura Strother and husband, Bud, of Oberlin; 22 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Burnell was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Jones and Norris Buller; her husband, William "Bill" Dunman; and the father of her children, Cecil Carl Rider.
