Kinder-Bertha Ann Chretien, 55, passed away on Thursday, December 20,2012.
Her funeral service will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church on
Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1pm. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in Chretien Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 21,2012 from
6-9pm at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder and will continue Saturday, December
22, 2012 from 8am until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7pm by Sister Shirley Gobert.
Bertha was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She was the
oldest employer at Kinder Retirement Center of over 28 years. She enjoyed
her work, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her life-long companion, Richard Cooper of Oberlin;
four brothers, Wilfred Chretien Sr. of Lake Charles, Willis J. Chretien of Lake
Charles, William Chretien of Pigeon Forge, TN, Lennis Chretien of Kinder;
three sisters, Jean Morris, Laura Jordan, Mary Allen, all of Westlake; two
godparents, Francis C. Perkins of Elton, Frank Chretien Jr. of Beaumont, TX;
and a special niece, Falon Chretien; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adella and Herbert Chretien;
her maternal grandparents, Jean Batiste and Ella Gobert; paternal grandparents, Leon and Dora Chretien, and great nephew, Emmanuel Lyndell Young Chretien.
