Kinder- Bernice "Cookie" Thompson LeBlanc, 87, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023, at local care facility. Bernice's family will host private memorial services in her honor at a future date. All of Bernice's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.
Bernice, affectionately called "Cookie" by all who knew her, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a faithful and devoted wife to her husband Gerald for 15 years until his passing. Bernice attended church regularly when she was able and was very proud of her Baptist heritage. She enjoyed baking and watching T.V, but most importantly she loved to spend time with her family whom dearly adored. Bernice was a kind and caring person and will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Bernice's memory include three brothers, Roy Thompson and wife Susan of Leesville, LA, L.C. Thompson and wife Doris of Nettleton, MS, and Jackie Thompson and wife Catherine of Kinder, LA; one sister, Judy Martin and husband Glenn of Loxley, AL; and a host of grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bernice is preceded in death by her husband Gerald LeBlanc; her parents, Davide, and Olive Thompson; and two sons, James Ortego, and Carl David Ferrier.
