Elton- Funeral Services for Elaine Martindale, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Elton, Rev. Jeff Day will officiate. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Little Hope Cemetery in Jasper, TX. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at the Ardoin Memorial Chapel in Elton from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a devoted wife to her husband Vernon Martindale Sr. for 64 years. Elaine enjoyed attending church, cooking, and baking for her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband. She especially enjoyed her grandchild and four great-grandchildren. Elaine was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Elton. She was very crafty in her younger years. Elaine will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Elaine's memory include her husband, Vernon Martindale Sr.; one son, Vernon Martindale Jr. "Marty", both of Elton; two brothers, Lloyd Lafleur and wife, Rita, of Hallsville, TX, Irvin Lafleur and wife, Alice, of Atlanta, GA; and three sisters, Linda Richard and husband, Jim, of Lafayette, Lou Day of Buna, TX, and Leola Lafleur of Orange, TX; one granddaughter, Lea B. Wolf and husband, Jake, of Valleymills, TX, and four great-grandchildren. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents Batson and Bessie Lafleur and one sister, Hilda Cart.
