Elton-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Bernice Fuselier Janice, 94, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 4-9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Bernice was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. Bernice was a woman of strong faith and was always very generous. She loved to cook. She also enjoyed gardening as well as spending time with her family. Bernice never met a stranger. She was a lifelong resident of Elton and St. Paul Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. Bernice made the best coconut cake and sweet dough pies. She will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish Bernice's memory include two sons, Bernie Janice of Lake Charles and Charles Janice and wife, Carolyn, of Sunset; one daughter, Rosa Mae Courville of Elton; and special sister-in-law, Elta Marie Fuselier of Elton; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, Olyfus and Marie Fuselier; her husband, Henry Janice; and three brothers, Winfred, Herbert and Hubert Fuselier.
