Abbeville, Louisiana-Funeral services will be held at Ardoin Funeral Home on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. for Bernal "BD" Dewey Reynolds, Jr. age 92, who passed away at Abbeville General Hospital Thursday, March 23, 2017. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Kinder McRill Cemetery.
BD was a loving son, brother, husband, and friend. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Sarah for forty plus years. BD loved to fish and play cards with his friends. He served our country in the United States Army Air Force and he was a retired employee of Chevron. He was a resident of Eastridge Assisted Living home in Abbeville, since 2014. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Survivors include his nephew, Bob Reynolds, and his wife, Jill, and their children of Arkansas; his nephew, Kirk Reynolds, and his wife, Luci, and their children of Ruston; his brother-in-law, Frank Whittaker, and his wife, Barbara, of Vicksburg, Ms.
BD was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Whittaker; his father, Bernal Dewey Reynolds, Sr. and his mother, Edith Mayfield of Kinder; his brother and sister-in-law James Albert "Jim" Reynolds and Elizabeth Smith of Ruston.
