Oakdale- Bernadine “Bernie” Carr Miner, 83, departed with grace, peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Bernie’s friends and family will host private memorial and inurnment services in her memory at a future date. All of Bernie’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Bernadine “Bernie” Carr Miner was Born August 27, 1942, to Clyde and Florene Carr in Pineville, La. She leaves behind a legacy of a large family and many friends who feel a tremendous loss and sadness, with her passing. Those friends and family are thankful and honored to have shared her long, full, and happy life. They have learned the values of family, faith, and resilience from her and are humbled by a lifetime of love and joy she gave to all.
Bernie was a loyal Christian woman and a member of Happy Hollow Church, where she felt so much love. She also worked as a bank teller for over 20 years. Some of Bernie’s favorite pastimes were reading, and she read a lot, find a word puzzles, coloring, and Bingo with her family at Allen Oaks Nursing Home in Oakdale, La. She also loved spending time with her friends and rides to Sonic for a good burger.
Bernie joined her heavenly Father and many loved ones. She was a kind and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Bernie’s memory include three sons, Gene Guillory, Donavon Juneau, and John Juneau and their families; two sisters, Evelyn Carr Laborde (husband Cookie) and Mary Jo Carr; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren; many extended family members; and a large group of friends from New Orleans to Glenmora, La. that she became very special too.
Bernie is preceded in death by her Parents, Clyde Morrel and Florene Carr; two late husbands, Ray Juneau and Ronnie Miner.
Family and friends of Bernadine would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Allen Oaks Nursing Home, doctors, nurses, staff, and everyone who had a hand in taking care of her.
