Elton-Funeral service for Barbara Elaine Chaumont, 75, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017 with the Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts when she was able. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Barbara's memory include her son, Dean Chaumont and life mate, Jennifer, of Elton; one daughter, Cheryl Lemaire of Eunice; one brother, Jimmy Darbonne of Elton; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, John Darbonne and Berdie Sonnier; one son, Wade Chaumont; and one brother, Thomas Darbonne.
