Elton-Funeral Services for Avy Sonnier Putnam,91, will be held Wednesday,
November 17, 2010 at 10AM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Rev. Jack Hall
and Deacon John Eaves will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in Ardoin Funeral
Home of Elton from 3PM to 9PM..
Avy was a nurse for over 20 years and a member of the Eastern Star.
She enjoyed her flowers, painting, and gardening. She was a fabulous cook
and baker of pies and cakes. She also was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Donald C. Putnam and wife Mary of
Elton; two daughters Monty Stoute of Eunice and Nita Putnam of New
Orleans; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great
great grandchildren.
Avy is preceded in death by her parents, Louisa and Joseph Sonnier;
husband, Alan C. Putnam; brothers, Zenis Sonnier and McKenzie Sonnier;
sister, Eva Hayes.
