Ava Claire Fontenot

Elton-Funeral services for Ava Claire Fontenot, age 20, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home in Elton, with the Rev. Ryan Temple officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Ardoin Funeral Home in Elton on Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.

Those left to cherish Ava’s memory include her parents, Aaron and Amanda Fontenot of Elton; her paternal grandfather, Robert Fontenot of Elton; her maternal grandmother, Claire Soileau of Elton; her sister, Madelyn Fontenot of Elton; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Ava Claire Fontenot was a cherished daughter, granddaughter, and sister whose life, though far too brief, was marked by tenderness, creativity, and quiet industry. She delighted in thrift shopping, in sewing her own clothing, and in working skillfully with her hands, finding joy in cooking and crocheting. She also held a special affection for her beloved pet cats. Ava was a diligent and hard-working young woman who was deeply grateful for the opportunity to work from home. She will be remembered with abiding love and will be sadly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Ava was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Regina Fontenot, and her maternal grandfather, Eugene Labaube.
