Kinder-Memorial Service celebrating the life of Audrey Lane Pitre, age 77, will be held in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Tuesday evening, July 19, 2016 at 7 p.m. Rev. Terry Bushnell will officiate. A private graveside service will be held at Green Oak Cemetery at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home on Tuesday evening beginning at 5 p.m. until time of service.
Audrey was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She drove a school bus for Allen Parish for over 15 years. She worked hard to provide for her family. She loved cooking, canning, and raising wild animals when she would find them. Audrey enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Audrey's memory include her five sons, Ray Pitre and wife, Wanda, and Leonard Pitre and wife, Patty, all of Kinder, Cornell "Blue" Pitre and wife, Terri, of LeBlanc, Lester Pitre and Mark Pitre, both of Kinder; two daughters, Renee Verret and husband, Mike, of Houston, TX, and Salena Fontenot and husband, Joe, of LeBlanc; two sisters, Dorothy Staton and husband, John, of Westlake, and Shirley Bruchhaus and husband, Kenneth, of Elton; four brothers, Tony Marcantel and wife, Sarah, of Oklahoma, Jerry Marcantel and wife, Caroline, of Lake Charles, Ketah Marcantel and wife, Debra, of Kinder, and Lane Marcantel and wife, Lori, of LeBlue Settlement; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Houston Marcantel and Ann Murphy; and her son, Clayton Pitre.
