Kinder-Funeral Service for Ashley Duplichan Broussard, 36, will be held in the Chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 5-10 p.m. The Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Ashley graduated from Kinder High School in 1996. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and mom. She loved spending time with her children. She had a "big heart" and always liked to help people-she never met a stranger. Ashley also loved the beach, enjoyed playing dominoes, and being with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Betty Duplichan; one son, Mykel Chase "Tooty" Broussard; two daughters, Zoey Jolie "Zoe Zoe" Broussard and Ryeligh Sue Ann "Ra Ra" Broussard; one brother, Craig Duplichan and wife, Dolly Jane, of Scott; one sister, Melissa "Missy" Kanehl and husband, Casey, of Rincon, GA; her paternal grandmother, Gladys Duplichan of Kinder; nine nieces and nephews-James, Heather, and Kory Jay Duplichan, Maegan Austin, Dennis and Richard Moreau, Jr., Autumn Boone, and Kasey and Gregory Kanehl; as well as many other family members and friends.
Ashley is preceded in death by her father, James Sherwin Duplichan.
