Obituary

Elton-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Arthur Leo "Chonch" Crosby, Jr. announce his passing on January 31, 2015. His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Rev. Christopher Skeet will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Tuesday, February 3rd from 3-9 p.m. with a singing service being held at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Arthur, affectionately known as "Chonch", was a resident of Elton for the past 38 years. He was a member of the Choctaw Nation Tribe. He attended church at Elton Assembly of God. He enjoyed carpentry, spending time with his grandchildren, and playing golf. He enjoyed the outdoors and nature. He was an avid Oklahoma University fan. Arthur also loved cooking and was known for his delicious BBQ. His family will be blessed with loving memories of him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sharon Crosby, of Elton; three daughters-Mandy, Destiney, and Maggie Crosby, all of Elton; three brothers-Alfred Crosby of Broken Bow, OK, Anthony Crosby and wife, Louella, of Philadelphia, MS, and Kenneth Crosby and wife, Elizabeth, of Wright City, OK; six sisters-Brenda Battise and husband, Paul, Glenda Crosby, Vickie Crosby, Gloria Battiest and husband, Lawrence, and Anita Ferguson, all of Wright City, OK, and Angela Crosby of Broken Bow, OK; two grandchildren-Keilan Elijah Crosby and Eilam Fox Crosby; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lorene Crosby, Sr.; sister, Karen Crosby; nephew, Alfred Crosby, Jr; and, an infant son, Kevin Crosby.
