Obituary

Kinder-Memorial service celebrating the life of Arnold "AL" Martino, Jr., age 72, will be held at Reeves Baptist Church on Friday, January 19, 2018, at 2 p.m. Rev. Charlie Carroll will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at Reeves Baptist Church Friday, January 19, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service.
Al was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Gala, for four years. He also was a devoted husband to his wife, Linda, for 46 years until her passing. Al retired after many years as project manager for Turner Industries. He enjoyed hunting and working in his yard. He served our country in the United States Army as a paratrooper. He was a man of strong faith and a faithful member of Reeves Baptist Church. Al will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Al's memory include his wife, Gala Miller; one son, Darryl Martino of Denham Springs; one daughter, Allison Cook, and husband, Joe, of Lake Charles; three sisters, Deborah Bates and husband, Ernie, of Garland, TX, Judy Shelton and husband, Charles, of Hurley, MS, and Louella Roberts and husband, Jimmy, of Gautier, MS; five grandchildren, Alyssa Martino, Allie Martino, Jay Cook, Haley Cart and husband, Zack, of Lake Charles, and Anthony Cook.
Al is preceded in death by his parents Louella and Arnold Martino, Sr., his wife, Linda Ellzey, two sons, Stephen and Paul Martino; one sister, Edith Martino Kirkland.
