Iowa- US Army SGM-E9 Anthony T. Pitre, 82, died September 8, 2009 peacefully at his residence, surrounded by family and friends.
Mr. Pitre is survived by his wife, Norma L. Pitre: one daughter, Shawn-Dell Pazzaglia and husband Ryan of Austin, TX. 6 grandchildren, Gavin Corso Pazzaglia, Jeramie, Shannon, Jana, Patricia, and Cody Pitre; 3 great grandchildren, Jeramiah, Zoe and Shayla Pitre; two sisters, Virginia Bertrand of Eunice, and Joyce Williamson of Elton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pitre, one son, Terry James Pitre, and two grandchildren, Terri Pitre and Ava Grace Pazzaglia; four brothers, Harold, Warren and Bobby and Merlin Pitre, and sister Evelyn Finn.
He was of the Catholic faith. A private inurnment of his cremains may be made at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice. Words of comfort may be shared at www.ardoinfuneralhome.com.
