Annie Wise Dupre' LaFleur, 82, of Kinder passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013. Ann was born on October 20, 1930. She was a native of Washington and a Kinder resident for over sixty years. Ann was well known in the Kinder community having been a local business woman in the restaurant, pub and hotel businesses. She loved being surrounded by her friends, especially looking forward to her weekly card game every Tuesday for many years. She was also an avid gardener. Ann was a hard-working woman who will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Ann is survived by her two sons-Mike Dupre' and wife, Jeannie of Carencro and Bill Dupre' and wife, Janise of Kissimmee, FL; two daughters-Jeanne Dupre' and Stanley Gremillion of Welsh and Antoinette LaFleur of New Iberia; three sisters-Emma Speyrer, Marlene Sonnier and Charlene Carter; four grandchildren-Lynette, Phoebe, Rachael and Jennifer; eleven great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents-Eleanor and Freddie Dupre'; her first husband-Ike Dupre'; her second husband-Elmer LaFleur; and her brother-Seldon Dupre'.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 2pm at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate the service. The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Sunday evening from 4-9pm with a rosary being recited at 6pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday from 8am until time of service that afternoon. Burial will follow in Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
