Kinder-Funeral Services for Annie Lee Bertrand Manuel, 74, will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Annie was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a devoted wife to her husband, John Manuel, for 41 years until his passing in January 2006. Annie was a member of Kinder Church of Christ. She enjoyed drinking coffee, listening to French music, cooking and baking. Her children say, she made the best roast and punch bowl cake. Annie would help anyone in need at any given time. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving, caring person whom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Annie's memory include her two sons, Anthony "Tony" Manuel and wife, Yvonne, of LeBlanc, and Randall Manuel of Kinder; one daughter, Heather Manuel and fiancé, Jeffrey, of Kinder; and four grandchildren.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Todzille Bertrand; husband, John Leon Manuel; son, John Lee Manuel; two brothers, Waylin Bertrand and Hollis Bertrand; and one grandson, Anthony Leon Ray Manuel.
