KINDER-Funeral service for Anita Lambert Watson, 78, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Don Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Visitation will continue until time of service.

Anita was a lifelong resident of Kinder. She was a loving wife of 49 years prior to the passing of her husband, Buster. She was also a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always loved being with her children. In her spare time, she enjoyed caring for the flowers she grew in her yard. Her family and friends will cherish her memory.

Survivors include her son, David Watson of Kinder; three daughters, Chris Baker and husband, Phil of Kinder, Myra Deshotel and husband, Gerald of Opelousas, and Connie Odom and husband, Carson of Elizabeth; one brother, Boyd Lambert, Jr. and wife, Wanda of Kinder; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Buster Watson; her parents, Boyd, Sr. and Gladys Lambert; one daughter, Lesia Watson; and an infant daughter, Gwendolyn Watson.
