Oberlin- Funeral service for Mrs. Anita S. Stockwell, 91, will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 1pm in Oberlin Baptist Church. Rev. Wade McAleece will officiate. Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery in Guy under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in the church Wednesday from 9am until time of service.
Mrs. Stockwell was a resident of Oberlin. She passed away Monday, March 9, 2009.
Survivors include two sons, T.C. Stockwell & wife Shelia of Big Spring, TX, Wayne Stockwell & wife Sandra of Oberlin; three daughters, Kay Reed & husband Rene of Folsom, Linda Mahaffey & husband Mac of Iowa, Ann Townley & husband Roger of Oakdale; one son-in-law, Orise Cormier Jr.14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, & 1 great-great grandchild.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Thomas Stockwell; two daughters, Kathy Cormier & Martha Gail Stockwell; one infant son; two sisters, Odell Acton & Beverly Rozas.
