Elton-A Mass of Christian Burial for Andrew James Langley, 27, will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors beginning Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 4-9 p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton. Visitation will resume Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Andrew was a loving son, brother, father, fiancé and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working out, and bull-riding in rodeos. Andrew worked hard as a rigger in the construction industry to provide for his family. He was raised in Elton, Jennings and Kinder. He was very outgoing and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Andrew will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Andrew's memory include his father, Walter "Rusty" Langley and wife, Marty, of Elton; grandparents, Terry Langley and wife, Mildred, of Oakdale, Lorraine Young, of Elton, Mike Cormier and wife, Debbie, of Jennings, William Bill Fontenot, of Kinder, Margaret Smith and husband, Phillip, of Jennings; fiancée, Megan Benoit, of Jennings; three daughters, Leanne, Natalie, and Charleigh Langley; two step-children, Jayci and Rory Portie; one brother, Russell Langley, of Bethalto, IL; and two sisters, Sarah Langley and wife, Kassie, of Kinder, and Emily Tracy, of Lafayette.
Andrew is preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Cormier Caswell.
