Oberlin-A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Amylia "Amy" Young Meaux, 90, will be held Monday, August 28, 2006 at 11 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church of Oberlin. Father Michael Barras will officiate. Burial will be in Oberlin Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder, Sunday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a vigil 6:30 p.m. and rosary at 7 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Meaux was a resident of Oberlin, and a member of St. Joan of Arc Altar Society. She passed away Friday August 25, 2006 in her residence.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Wayne Meaux of Oberlin; three daughters, Louise Ann Meaux Shuff of Iowa, Mae Ellen Meaux Soileau of Oakdale, Sandra Gail Meaux Crouch of Mountain Home Ark; 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
