Kinder-Funeral services for Amelia Ann Long, 80, will be held at 11 am. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Green Oak Bible Church. Rev. Don Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Green Oak Bible Church on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Amelia was a devoted wife to her husband for sixty-two years, as well as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.  She trusted Christ as her Savior when she was nine years old and faithfully served the Lord alongside her husband, Rev. Jerry C. Long, for over fifty years. She loved flowers and working in her many flower beds. Amelia was also an amazing artist and painted beautiful landscapes and scenery. Her favorite place to be was walking down a beautiful beach with her husband collecting sea shells to then turn them into some amazing creation. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish Amelia's memory include her husband,  Rev. Jerry Crawford Long; son, Gerald Edward Long and wife, Christy, of Arnaudville; two daughters, Katharine Jean Leger and husband, Bart, of Lake Charles and Regina Anne Galliardt and husband, Mark, of Tyler, TX; three brothers, Dan Morgan and wife, Roberta, of Dickinson, TX, Rick Morgan of Montevalla, AL and Ed Morgan and wife, Melissa, of Gulf Breeze, FL; sister, Donna Causey and husband, Wayne, of The Villages, FL; six grandchildren, Jeremy Leger and wife, Elaine, Kerry Leger and wife, Kimberly, Maegan Lewis and husband, Nathan, Hollie Watkins and husband, Jonathan, Heath Galliardt and wife, Maria and Hannah Ryder and husband, Josh; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Amelia is preceded in death by her parents, James Stewart and Ellorine and James Morgan; one sister, Olivia Powers; and great granddaughter, Hope Ann Lewis.
