Kinder-Funeral service for Alvin Langley, Sr, 73, was held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11 o'clock a.m. at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Christopher Skeet officiated the service and burial followed in St. Luke Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family received visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 3-9 p.m. Visitation resumed at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Alvin was a lifelong resident of Kinder. He worked hard over the years to provide for his family. He was retired with 28 years of experience in the import and export business. Alvin was a loving dad and grandfather.
Survivors include his son, Alvin Langley, Jr. and wife, Lacey of Kinder; two daughters, Marilyn Langley and Carolyn Langley, both of Elton; three brothers, Hilton and Jack Langley, Jerry Langley and wife, Edith, all of Kinder; two sisters, Florine "Flo" Pitre and Judy McCauley, both of Kinder; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
