Oberlin-Funeral service for Alma "Faye" Carrier, 82, will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2pm in Allen Parish Funeral Home/Oberlin Chapel. Brother Steve Courville will officiate. Burial will follow in Durio Cemetery under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home/Oberlin Chapel.
The family will receive visitors at Allen Parish Funeral Home/Oberlin Chapel on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 5-10pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, May 25th from 8am until time of service.
Faye was a devoted wife and a loving Mom and Grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also was very active in her church and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Left to mourn Faye's loss are her three sons, Oris Carrier and wife Pat of Oberlin; Anthony "Doc" Carrier of Jennings; Gary Carrier of Oberlin; one brother, Larry Hebert of Oberlin; two sisters, Ruth Carrier and Wilda Manuel of Oberlin; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Carrier; her parents, Esther and Ray Hebert; two sons, Jerald Carrier and Kirk Carrier; two grandsons, John and Marcus Carrier; and two brothers, Jack and Marcus Hebert.
