Kinder-Funeral services for Allen Ray Powers, 66, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Burial will follow at Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Allen was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a loving husband to his wife, Susanne, for forty-seven years. Allen loved hunting, fishing, working out and cooking-especially barbeque and deer sauces. He enjoyed watching his son and grandsons play sports and was always supporting Kinder High School. More than anything, Allen cherished spending time with his family. He worked hard to provide for his family at Westlake Chemical until his well-deserved retirement. Allen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Allen's memory include his wife, Susanne LaFargue Powers of Kinder; one son, Christopher Cody Powers of Lafayette; two daughters, Kelley Rachelle Langley and Taylor Deon Hebert, both of Kinder; three sisters, Diane Rester, Glenda Haney and Tina Francis; six grandchildren, Trevor, Colin, Payton and Ally Langley and Cross and Carter Powers; and one great grandson, Grayson Langley.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Raymas and Florence Powers.
