Kinder-Funeral Services for Allen Roy Nix, 28, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Lake Charles under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 7, 2020 from 5-9 p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service. ** Please, note that the gathering capacity will be limited as per state compliance. **

Allen was a loving father, son, brother and grandson. He valued friendships and could light up a room when he walked in. He was a wonderful friend to all who knew him. He loved fishing, hunting, dancing, and being with his friends. Allen loved spending time with his daughter; she was the sunshine of his life. He enjoyed cooking and could make the best sauce piquante. Allen currently worked at the Kinder Sand Pit and always worked very hard. His friends and family began to call him "Bubbie" during his early childhood and the name stuck. Allen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Allen's memory include his mother, Rachelle Denise Strouse and husband, Kelly, of Lake Charles; one daughter, Vivian Grace Lantron of Kinder; grandparents, Jeanette Pickett and husband, Richard, of Lake Charles, Tommy Lovejoy of Kinder and Estalena Manuel and son, Benji Ware, of Kinder; three brothers, Peyton Ware of Kinder, Troy Nix and wife, Kasie, of Sulphur and Bryan Nix of Lafayette; five sisters, Meggan Nix of Lake Charles, Chasity Corbello and husband, Jason, of Sulphur, Keegan Ware of Kinder, Ember Ware of Kinder and Haley Gentry and husband, Danton, of Terrell, Texas; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Allen is preceded in death by his father, Rickey Nix; uncle, Jason "Spanky" Ware; and one grandfather, David L. Manuel.
