Alice Jeanette Corkran Duplechain

Oberlin-Funeral service for Alice Jeanette Corkran Duplechain, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022 in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.  Rev. Dallas Thomas and Bro. Darren "Kiyou" Duplechain will officiate.  Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Alice, affectionately known as "Net", was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Her children were her pride and joy.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Dennis John Duplechain and wife, Bettina of Lake Charles; one daughter, Cheryl Duplechain Tucker and husband, Lloyd of Oberlin; four sisters, Rosemary Smith and husband, Kirby of Sulphur, Reba Mendoza and husband, Andrew of Arizona, Karen Murrieta and husband, Fred of Arizona, and Shalane Guse and husband, Richard of Alexandria; 22 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Corkran; husband, J.C. Duplechain; two sons, Mackie Duplechain and Ricky "Slick" Duplechain; two daughters, Pam Gobert and Tina Taylor; two sisters, Justine Griffiths and Melvena Murphy; and granddaughter, Jennifer Duplechain.
