Oakdale-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alice Burnett, 78, announces her passing on Thursday morning. A private memorial service will be held at Science Hill Cemetery at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Alice was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a loving wife to her husband, Julius, for fifty-six years until his passing in July 2018. Alice was a faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family any chance she had. Her daughters-in-law loved her like a mother. Alice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Alice's memory include her five sons, Gill Burnett (Kathy), T.J. Burnett (Tressie), Blaine Burnett (Tanya), Luke Burnett and Travis Burnett(Nancy); one sister, Katherine Seal; thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Eula Gill; husband, Julius Burnett; one son, Trent Burnett; one brother, J.W. Gill; and one sister, Becky Gill.

The family requests that any monetary donations be made in Ms. Alice's memory to Harmony Baptist Church Youth Group.
