Oberlin- Funeral Mass for Mrs. Alice Mary Bertrand, 84, will be held Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2p.m. in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Oberlin. Father Michael Barras will officiate. Burial will follow in Durio Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be in New Beginnings Assembly of God Church in Oberlin Thursday from 3pm-10pm with a scripture service at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue Friday at 8am until time of service.
Mrs. Bertrand was a resident of good ole Oberlin, a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. She passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in a local care center.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Dauzat & husband Steve of Oakdale, Marla Bertrand of Port Arthur, TX; two brothers, John Dewey Bertrand of Oberlin & Wilson "DOO" Bertrand of Port Acres, TX; two grandchildren, Leigh "Toni" Matt & Alicia O'Neal; four great grandchildren, Mason, Emily, Eva, & Azelin.
Preceded in death by her husband, Hillary Bertrand; parents, Lawrence & Zoeway Bertrand; brother, Arthur Bertrand.
